It depends on the nature of the dog, I would not set it for anthing lower then 60-65 degress. It can depend on the bedding and flooring of your house as well as if you have carpet that traps more heat then linoleum will. It can also depend on the nature of your dog as some get colder easier then others I would not set if for anything lower then your bulldog is used to it being or anything lower then 5- 10 degrees lower then you like it to be set at.
