My 2.5 year old male mini double dapple which we just got about 5 months ago has suddenly become very aggressive with me (female) and will bite me. He has also taken to barking at me if my husband is sitting in a chair with him or vice versus. I do rough house with him and wonder if this is the reason for his biting behavior. Thank you.

He may just be reaching maturity and trying to establish dominence. The best thing to do is not reinforce his bad behavior. Do this by, when he acts the way you want, reward him greatly. When he starts being a butt like when sitting with your husband, have your husband place him on the floor away him and then ignore, ignore, ignore.....and soon he will get the idea. Start out slow...when you ignore him and he acts appropriately, then reward...with lots of attention or treats. He will catch on quickly that acting the other way gets him in a time out. I would also stop the rough-housing. This sends him mixed signals that you are a littermate and not the alpha of the pack.
