What is a myxosarcoma soft in the leg and how should it be treated

There was a cytological study done and dysplastic cells were found, the primary diffential diagnosis is "sarcoma especially myxosarcoma" The dog had a hard lump in the joint and did not appear to be in any discomfort in that leg. We are scheduled to see a surgeon and would like to know how to proceed.
