Leg injury
Sent to Pet Experts July 14 01:07 PM

My dog / daughter Satsy ordered pizza last night and when the delivery was made she greeted our deliverer she jumped up on his leg and got petted. While our transaction was taking place she again jumped this time off the ground she fell down and was caught by her left hind leg and landed on her left side. She squeeled in lots of pain and urinated on the ground I picked her up and took her inside where I cuddled her all night. I took her out side this morning she hopped around on one leg for the most part. She eventualy would use her hurt leg every once in awhile. i could not feel anything out of place and there was no swelling. is she going to be ok? Is there anything I can do for her?

Most likely it is just a muscle trauma and should resolve itself within a few days.

If you notice she is limping, I would take her in for an xray to be sure there is no damage.

Is she a young dog or old?

I would not worry too much. Sometimes puppies have a way of being very melodramatic.

HOWEVER... if you notice any swelling, or lumps, please take her in for an exam.

Small puppies are more 'resisliant that they seem' Of course again, if you notice any behavorial changes, or unusual physical changes, do try to get her in to the vet.
