smelly gas

2 days ago i got an 8 month old pittbull. the previous owner was homeless and only feedinf it table scraps when he could, the dog has horrible smelling gas and its every 5 minutes, and when he leaves the house even at hours at a time, my rooms reeks of his gas still. is there anything i can feed him or do to make the gas or at least the smell go away?
