My daughter has just bought a lovely labrador pedigree ...

Sent to Pet Experts April 04 3:28 p.m.

My daughter has just bought a lovely labrador pedigree puppy, four months old. She smells really badly so it was off to the dog parlour, we know she has been kept outside with other dogs. On her return she smelt better but soon the smell was back and is really strong, it does not appear to be coming from any one area of her body. My daughter has brushed her but that has made no difference. It is not wind..but a definate body odour.

Hi Maureen,

Congrats on the new baby lab!

This smell is due to her diet. I'm sure you heard that saying "you are what you eat"?

You have to detoxify her body. For three days feed her only boiled chicken, beef or baby food with no onion powder.

You can look for a natural food at www.petfooddirect.com and mix it with the boiled meat once she smells fine.

Then remove the meat gradually so she is eating only a quality dog food.

If you have any questions along the way, I will always be here for you.

Warmest best wishes,

Terri
