Question

Cockatiel''s middle toe injuried

Sent to Pet Experts January 30 3:33 p.m.

Two Cockatiels in a cage together. One is more agressive than the other. Will eat food first and then the second bird can eat. The second bird has a middle toe that is turned backwards. This may have just occured. He can''t stand on it and picks at the toe. Is this painful? Can it be fixed? What would have caused this? Who would she see in Culpepper, VA?

Optional Information:
Breed: Cockatiel,

Already Tried:
This is not my bird. It is my neices bird, who lives in Culpepper, VA. Her Mom, my sister, is concerned for the bird. How can we help the 'bird' without it costing us? We are afraid the owner, who wants to sell the birds, will do nothing. My sister who saw the bird today is afraid it is in pain.
