Question

Is there something wrong with my Cockatiel?

Sent to Pet Experts September 08, 2006 12:14 p.m.

I have a cockatiel and she's about 11 years old. She chirps a lot and she sings and she even talks. But recently she has started chirping very loud and non stop no matter what time of day. Now we are finding that the only thing that seems to calm her down is to keep the room she's in dark but that's not very fair to her. She chirps so loud that you can hear it outside even if the doors and windows are closed. Is it normal for them to do this? Do you have any suggestions?
