Question

Can a mouse have a stroke?

Sent to Pet Experts July 27, 2006 3:51 p.m.

My pet mouse has started leaning to the right, and is having trouble moving about. She seems in all other aspects of her health, but is leaning/stumbling on her right side. I was wondering if its possible that she has had a stroke or seizure. She shares a cage with her sister, who seems fine in all aspects.

ACCEPTED Check Mark

She may have an inner ear problem problem which could cause these symptoms. They don't usually have strokes but it is not impossible. I would have her checked by your vet, they may have some medication that will help alleviate the symptoms.
