I brought a new cage for my hamser which was too big and the hamster got out and ran up under the couch. When I was able to get her out she was not moving but breathing. I started rubbing her stomach thinking her stomach was just hurting. I put her back in her old cage she was running around alot wanting to get back out and her jaws were swollen. This morning she looked fine but when I took her out to run around in her pet playpen her jaws started swelling again. Is this common for them when they get excited. She is running around like she is fine it's just her jaws being swollen.
