My female lab mix who is about 8 months old, is throwing up after she eats. This has been going on for a few days now. I give her plenty of water and she is fine with that but not when she eats. She throws up all her food, no blood or mucous present. She also has demodex mange, does that have anything to do with it?? Are there any home remedies to calm her tummy??

Optional Information:
Age: <1; Female; Breed: Black Lab mix

Already Tried:
Plenty of water, bread

As she is throwing up after she eats you may want to look at the ingredients in the food you are feeding. Dogs can develop intolerances to an ingredient such as corn, wheat, soy, beef or even preservatives - almost any ingredient can do it. There are foods available without any of the common allergens in them including California Natural, Canidae, Wellness fish, duck, rabbit, venison etc. Pet supply stores carry these sorts of foods. The mange may indicate an immune problem which would make her more susceptible to allergies.
As she is a puppy though you may want to check out other things first. Have the vet check a stool sample for parasites.
You may also want to have your vet x-ray her to see if the problem is a portion of a sock, tennis ball, a rock, a toy etc in her stomach causing the problem. A foreign object that won't pass through can cause irritation making a dog vomit.
Hope this helps you!

Reply to Nancy Holmes's Post: She has been on the same food for months now, could the intolerance come up all of the sudden? She is on Pro Plan large breed. She is going potty fine, could there still be a blockage? She was just checked a little over a month ago for parasites, can they just come all of a sudden?

Dogs become intolerant to a food ingredient they are eating in food they have always eaten. If you look at Pro Plan you will find it has a lot of grains.
The object in her stomach wouldn't be a blockage of the intestinal tract. It would just be something that won't pass through or vomit up. With my mystery vomiter it was a latex rubber squeaky toy that went down easily and filled with stomach fluids and then could neither pass nor be vomited up.
Every thing was fine with her except she kept vomiting until we found the toy and got it out of her.
I've heard of socks, towels, rocks, coins, chunks of rubber bone etc all causing similar issues. Not all the problem items will show up on x-ray either.
If she was checked for parasites before this started then parasites could be the issue. There are worms called whipworms the lay eggs so seldom they are not often found in the stool so it can take many stool samples to find out they are there. Roundworms have about a 2 week lifecycle. Coccidia and other protozoans can show up any time the dog has had contact with them or free standing water such as a pond or river.
