Question

I have a Pekignese Chihuahua mix breed. He is 7 months old ...

Sent to Pet Experts February 07, 2006 5:33 a.m.

I have a Pekignese Chihuahua mix breed. He is 7 months old and is getting his new set of teeth. Yesterday I noticed his stools were semi soft but well formed. Today he passed less solid stools 3 times so far with some drops of blood in them. He has never done that before. He also threw up a little semi digested food, yellow in color. I am living in China at the moment and the doctors here find any excuse to giving the animals tons of medicines and injections with little or no explanation. Is there some home remedy I can give him? Also I fear they are giving him boosters as he has put lots of weight suddenly when in their care. Is this safe? Currently he is around 3.5kgs. Also I wanted to know what vaccinations are required to be given to him as again communication here in English is poor and I want to make sure he doesnt miss any shots. So far he has been given Nobivac DHPPi at 5 months old which they said took care of distemper and leptospirosis. Also he was dewormed 2 months ago on Zentel ( for humans). How often should I deworm and what is the recommended brand and dosage. I know I am asking u tons of info but your the only help i have...trust me. Hoping for a quick reply, Nicci.
