I have a four year old German Short Haired/Lab mix that we adopted about a year ago. We would like to adopt another dog or puppy but were concerned that it might affect our current dog. She is very good with other dogs with the exception of one incident with a neighbors dog that came into our house very soon after we adopted her. We are moving in a couple of weeks and were wondering if this wouldn't be a good opportunity to introduce a new dog or puppy since she will not be terratorial or if we should just scrap the whole idea and stick with our one great doggy.

Optional Information:
Age: 4; Female; Breed: german short haired/lab

If she typically does ok with other dogs, there should not be a problem. I would introduce them on neutral ground (dog park, fenced area, shelter) so that you current pet meets her and won't feel territorial.

There is always a short period of adjustment but most dogs adjust well with time.

Let me know if you still have questions.
