Question

my yr old rottie mix stopped eating about weeks ago

Sent to Pet Experts January 02, 2006 1:36 p.m.

My 2 yr old rottie mix stopped eating about 3 weeks ago. When I first took her to the vet he blood work showed high red and wht blood cells and was put on a day of iv therapy and antibiotics. X-rays were also taken which showed no blockage or tumor. She improved for a day and then started throwing up a very green colored vomit. As my vet was away for Christmas I fed her small amounts of food and she was drinking. I took her back to my vet and she had 4 more days of iv fluids, improving each night but back to the same the following mornings, he also took more xrays and blood which were all normal. She was almost normal after her 4th day of iv therapy but immediately was sick the next morning again. If she does eat she doesn't throw up till a day later and always the same green matter. She is still on antibiotics but does not get sick after taking them. Any ideas?
