my pet toy poodle is not eating at all today. He first had diarrhea, then a hard time doing poop. Now not eating at all with stomach contractions and gagging. Didnt give pepto til 1 hr. ago. He did not eat at all today. Just drank water. What is wrong with him? He is 8 wks old and just had his first set of puppy shots last Saturday.Optional Information: Male; Breed: toy poodleAlready Tried: nothing other than a little pepto bismol

The most common cause of this gastric upset is a parasite problem, especially in a dog this age. You need to go ahead and see the vet with a fresh stool sample so that you can get a fecal float and an appropriate dewormer. Giardia and coccidia are also concerns with new puppies.

Until you can see the vet, I would go ahead and switch him over to a bland diet of only boiled chicken and white rice. This will help to settle his stomach.

he doesn't want to eat anymore. how do I feed him? He is just drinking water.
