pain vomiting feline

My 5 yr old feline can not seem to keep his food down.He is constantly vomiting after we give him some food.We have been giving him Laxatone twice a day for 2 days and he seems to be reliving himself(defacating) without a problem.He does not appear to be in any pain as we are always picking him up to cuddle with him.
