ACCEPTED Check Mark

I'm so sorry for you and your pet. This sort of cancer does come up unexpectedly and by the time its realized there is a problem the dog is often quite ill.
This site has a good over view of lymphoma disease overall

and this talks about the specific disease it sounds like your dog has

You might want to see if a holistic vet has some help to make your dog more comfortable or perhaps extend the expected lifespan. You can ask your vet for referal to one or you may be able to find one in the list here www.ahvma.org
to help you in conjunction with traditional treatments.

Sometimes erlichia a tick carried disease has been confused with leukemia but the pathology in your tests seems to indicate that sadly your vet is correct.

I'm so sorry its awfully hard to cope with. I lost a dog to bone cancer this spring and it does go awfully fast.
Hope this helps you!
