(Not a Pet Question?)

a biting golden retriever

Sent to Pet Experts September 10 03:35 PM

my 4 year old golden was never raised with small children. just recently she snarled and lightly bit a 4yr. old girl. the dog didn;t break the skin. Yesterday i was walking our golden and 3 small children were walking with their mother. Our golden was on a leash, as the kids walked by our dog looked at them and all of her fur went up she snarled and barked at them, she also jumped up. I was albe to pull her back and no one got hurt, but i am really wondering what to do. we live in a neighborhood with lots of small kids. Our yard is invisible fenced in, but still i don't trust her now. Is there anything i can to so she will stop this behavior? thanks for any help, lisa
