ACCEPTED Check Mark

If he is not neutered then doing that may help reduce his need to claim the house as his.
In addition to that or if he is already neutered there are things you can do. JRTs are strong minded little guys and they can do much better if their owners show they are the family leaders. Basic obedience classes can help as can using a program like nothing in life is free when interacting with the dog at home.
You can read about that here
www.ddfl.org/behavior/nilif.htm
and you may be able to find positive type training help here www.apdt.com
And do clean all marked spots with an enzyme based cleaner such as Nature's Miracle or Simple Solution.
Also many owners find belly bands help while training their pets. You can get them at pet supplies or ebay or online.
They cover the critical anatomy and when lined with an incontinance pad can save your household furnishings while you work on training your pet. This site is just one of many that sell these bands

Hope this helps you!
