1.5 years ago we adopted a boxer from the spca. Recently he was diagnosed with tick fever and was treated. Now about 2 months later, he has muscle weakness, pain when we touch him, uncordinated stiff looking walk, and small seizure like spasms in his back legs. What could be wrong? He has had all of his vaccinations. Sorry, we don't have much money right now for your advice.

He may still be suffering from side effects of the tick carried disease.
He may also have a hereditary heart issue known in boxers. You can read about this here
http://www.boxerunderground.com/apr_bu_99/dr.htm
But the touch pain sounds more like the tick disease was not totally resolved.
There are more boxer specific health issues listed here
http://www.americanboxerclub.org/healthtbc.html
There may be something else that fits what you are seeing listed there.
Or if he has had any puncture wounds this could be something such as tetanus. If his face also seems stiff or it seems like he is oddly 'smiling' then that could be it.
You may be able to get financing help from www.carecredit.com to finance another vet trip.
Some vets will let you do time payments too if you call and ask them about it ahead of time.
I think you need to have your pet see the vet again.
Hope this helps you!

Thank you for your advice. He is feeling much better and is back to acting like himself again! We had only done a 10 day treatment instead of a 30 day, so we are starting the 30 treatment for tick fever now. Our other boxer had a reoccurance of tick fever too. Is this prevalent in boxers? Thanks again for your advice.
