could this be parvo

we have a pit puppy that is about 8 weeks old. he has lost a significant amount of weight and is throwing up and has diarrea,he wont eat and cant even hold down water does this sound like parvo? our friend said he thinks he has it.if so what can we do?this has all occured within a few days....
