Question

cost of parvo for a 4lb 9wk old pup

Sent to Pet Experts February 08, 2005 5:41 p.m.

I have a 9 week old terrier mix puppy that weighs 4 lbs. She was diagnosed yesterday with parvo, she wasn’t eating. My vet is keeping her to treat her. She has not vomited, has not had a fever and is not lethargic. He says that she’ll probably be there for 2-3 days and is doing great (she was a lucky one). For a 4lb. puppy to be treated for 2-3 days what will the average cost be?

Is she on IV fluids? What exactly are they treating her with while she's in the hospital.
