Reply to michele's Post: It looks like he may have eaten some of his dog food. He vomits a yellowish color, with dog food like lumps and in a foamy texture. I have not given him any water with honey. I have no honey in the house but did try water with sugar. He did drink "alittle" of that.

Ok, that's good, hopefully that will help him from going hypoglycemic. I would try to continue to offer him the sugar water mixture several times during the course of the night. Just a few licks. If he won't take that again, you can try pancake syrup or karo syrup.
There are many causes for the symptoms that you are describing.
An obstruction from eating bones, pieces of toys, etc, bacterial gastritis/enteritis, or viral diseases such as parvo. A dog with parvo or corona virus will have diarrhea as well. Does your pup have diarrhea too?
Do you have any pepto bismol regualr strength liquid at home?

Reply to michele's Post: Of course I don't have pepto bis. here but I did offer him pancake syrup..he wasn't interested in that. He just recently ate some more dog food and a cheese treat but that came back up also. I gave him the phenobarbital about 1 1/2 hr. ago. Will that have gotten into his system? or will vomiting cause that to leave system also? He took more sugar water after vomiting.

I would stop offering him food. His stomach is inflammed and the food is irritating.
I would do the sugar water or syrup every few hours just to prevent low blood sugar.
Hopefully he will drink and be able to hold down water as these little guys can dehydrate quickly.
I can't tell you for sure if the pheno was absorbed. It might be in the vomited material especially if he vomited shortly after getting the medication.
There is no way to know if he missed a dose of pheno if he will have a seizure. I wouldn't suggest giving him the pheno again though, unless you found it in the vomit.
Does he seem responsive and alert to you?
Does he get up and walk around, or is he down and out?
Does he have diarrhea as well?

Reply to michele's Post: No he doesn't have diahrea(sp). Stools are formed as usual and he recently made that deposit. He seems more alert than earlier. His urine is extremely yellow. I will continue to give sugar water and take his food away. He will be sleeping with me (as usual); so I will be able to monitor him throughout the night.

Until you can get him to the vet you need to monitor him for signs of low blood sugar
You can read all about it at
www.marvistavet.com/html/body_toy_breed_hypoglycemia.html
If he has not been drinking much, his urine will be concentrated causing it to look more yellow. The more dilute it it, the lighter in color it will be. Somtimes liver problems can cause the urine to look an almost dark orange/yellow color.
If you can find an emergency vet tonight
www.pets911.com you may want to take him. Especially if he goes into an extreme crisis.
Otherwise, get him to his doctor first thing tomorrow morning for treatment.
He may need to be put on intravenous fluids if he is dehydrated and be given injectable medications to help with his vomiting. Your vet may also suggest an xray to rule out any foreign obstructions and blood tests to rule out anything with his major organs like the liver and kidneys.
I know it is going to be a long night and you aren't going to get much sleep because you will be watching him like a hawk. You will be in my thoughts. I hope he is feeling better soon. Let me know what happens at the vet visit.
