Hello My 2 year old lab has been vomiting upclear foam ...

Sent to Pet Experts September 08, 2006 6:18 p.m.

Hello My 2 year old lab has been vomiting upclear foam liquid for 2 days and today started having liquid bloody stools which smell really awful. I took him to the vet today with a stool sample and the vet said it was not necessary to run a sample. He is current on all shots, has never been sick, mainly stays in the house or in our back yard, he hasn't eaten anything that I can think of I'm always watching him. The vet gave him a injection to prevent dehydration and something to stop the vomiting. He has stopped vomiting but he is still shooting out liquid bloody poop. the vet is not sure what is wrong with him and my dog won't eat anything now for 1 day and a 1/2 now. the vet gave him Amoxicillin 500mg, Metoclopramide 10mg, and metronidazole 250mg. Looking forward to your advice Jessica
