I just had two pups passaway becasue of parvo one at ...

I just had two pups passaway becasue of parvo one at the age of 9 weeks and one at theage of 14 weeks i have a pup probably about the age of 5 months to 8 months and i dont know if it has its shot or not becasue we got her from the locoal animal shelter and I dont want to lose another one to parvo cuz it sucks and it so sad so please let me know what i should do can parvo effect her and will the shots hurt her if she has already had them?
