Hi...I have guinea hen that has not laid an egg for weeks. She has developed an area at her "behind" almost the size of a grapefruit. Her feathers are missing from rubbing when she walks. She is eatting well and acts ok. I give her calcium suppliment, greens, and appropriate guinea food, tho recently switched to 20% protein food. I have a pic of her back-side if you are interested....She is wilder than a buck to try to handle...so, what can I do? I have her on antibiotics now for the second time. My husband and I could try to remove a lodged egg (maybe!!!!she is wild!)....plz advise! Thanks!
