fish breeding question

I have a female blood parrott fish and a male she laid eggs and breed. She is now guarding the eggs and waiting for them to hatch. I read that some males a fertile and some arent. Whgat do the eggs look like when they are fertile and how long does it take them to hatch????Thanks
