My parakeet is bleeding from her cere and she looks sick.I have her in the same cage with my male and he is picking at her.What should I do?

Hello,

I would immediately separate her from your male. Put her is an area like an aquarium that is confined on some paper towels. Place a light above her to keep her warm and place a very shallow flat dish of water and seed in there. As soon as you can she needs to be transported to an Avain Vet. This is just an emergency first aid measure until she can be transported to an Avian Vet. If she is left in with the male an ill you can be risking both the birds. Joan Jav917.
