WE GOT A PARAKEET LAST WEEK, & IT JUST DIED. WHAT COULD CAUSE IT? CAN IT BE FROM TOO MUCH STRESS? MY SON WAS THE ONE ALWAYS HANDLING IT & HE WAS DOING GREAT UNTIL WE HAD OTHER KIDS AT THE HOUSE & I'M WONDERING IF IT DIED FROM BEING HANDLED TOO MUCH & GOT STRESSED OUT.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Until you (we) get to the bottom of it, you should not try to get another bird. Did the bird come from a pet store originally? What are the ages of the kids involved? Do you know if your son was allowing "everyone" to handle it and pass it around, so to speak? Would you say that is was pretty much tamed and knew how to step up when asked? This and any extra information you can think of to add will help me give you my best answer and advice. Thanks, Patricia
