Wonder,
Thanks for your question!
If you can find an exotic vet in your area (or one that feels comfortable seeing birds), the treatment for this is usually rather simple. An overgrown beak can cause many problems such as difficulty eating, drinking, climbing, etc. After the vet has done a thorough exam, s/he will reshape the tip of the beak and groom the rest of the site. (This is a rather painless procedure as the tip of the avian beak is quite similar to the tip of the human nail and does not contain blood supply or sensitive nerves). Many veterinarians do this with a tiny dremel tool. It is highly suggested to place toys (exercise caution with those that have metal pieces and skip using them) that are made of plastic, rope, wood, etc. into your pet's cage that will assist in keeping the beak at a normal length (check toys over daily to make sure they're in good condition).

Please remember that no matter how thorough my answers may be, they will never take the place of an exam by a veterinarian.
