My pitbull has a problem with the pads on his paws and they are falling off and he licks and chews on them. It hurts him to walk on them.

 Is there a fertilizer or product in the yard that could be causing this? Is it the pads or inbetween the toes that look the worse?

Reply to Dr. Vamvakias's Post: no there is not any thing in the yard. when we got him they were like that and i was just wondering how to help them heal up. ive been putting antibiotic ointment on them and wraping them will that help?? please respond to this im desperate to get them better. he is in pain and dosnt like to walk on them unless he has to. thank you very much.
