I found a stray 53# lab mix that has been diagnosed with sarcoptic mange. The treatment my vet wants to perform is very expensive, and since I have a budget, will be unable to do it. A friend suggested that I use ivermectin inject 1% for treatment, but was not sure what the dosage should be. Could you help? If I can't find an inexpensive way to treat the dog, I may be forced to take him to the pound.
