Fur patch with scab
Sent to Pet Experts August 04 01:49 AM

Cat has patch of fur missing behind ear, bleeding, feels like it has a knot(muscle) and is scabby. No puncture marks visible. I cleaned it with peroxide and it seemed to sting her. She is about 10 years old and I have another male cat in the house who is about 8.

The peroxide is good to clean it off and then you can try some neosporing or triple antibiotic ointment on it.
If it doesn't get better then you may be dealing with a mange mites or ringworm fungus and the vet should check her to find what the skin problem is and what treatment is best.
If you think it might be an abcess before you clean it with the peroxide you can use a warm/hot damp towel to hot pack it to draw any infection.
