Our 12 y/o German Shep/Lab mix has been stiffening up and ...

Our 12 y/o German Shep/Lab mix has been stiffening up and falling over. When this happens she becomes incontinent. She usually lies there for 30 seconds or so then gets up, shakes and is allright.
This most often happens when she has been lying down for long periods of time then gets up suddenly.
What should we be doing?
