My vetenarian clinic refuses to give me more heartworm medecine for my dogs. They want another blood test for the diesea. I feel this is wrong. They have been on heartworm pills for 10 months now.

Already Tried:
Just feel its wrong to charge us for blood work. They have been on heartworm medicine so how would they have heartworms.

Nothing is 100% foolproof and if you were off a little bit any month on giving the med your dog's might have picked up the disease.
Commonly vets retest annually and also check for tick carried diseases at the same time.
You can discuss with your vet about going on a two year test plan as some will do that if you keep the dogs on the meds year round.
But if something happened and a dog say vomited up a pill, and got heartworm as the med wasn't really digested, the sooner you know for treatment the better.
