We just bought our hamster, Nelson a new cage. It had a tunnel that lead up to a inclosed round house type thing. He got trapped by putting the wood chips up the tunnel and was in that same area for about 2 days. we didnt realize. Nelson was covered in urine and all wet. We cleaned his cage and got rid of the tunnel house. He looks much better but has a soar on his backside area that he keeps licking. It looks a little raw. what should we do for him? He is eating and has been running in his wheel. thank you

Dab a little bit of diluted peroxide on it then put some vaseline on it. This way, if he licks it it will not hurt him. Keep a watch on it as if it starts to look infected he will need to be on some antibiotics from the vet.
