I have a serious problem. I'm not sure how to describe it, but my siberian dwarf hamster's tail now looks like a spine or pricker from a porcupine. It has no hair, and i'm afriad that it has no skin. His behavior hasn't changed, his eating habits are fine, he hasn't become more agressive or reclusive, and there is no blood in the cage. Can any one tell me what is going on!?

Optional Information:
Age: <1; Male; Breed: Siberian Darf Hamster

I can't afford to take my hamster just for a visit if nothing's wrong. I'm a broke college student, who needs to know what to do.
