My children have a male and a female teddy bear hamster living in seperate cages. The hamsters are just over a year old.A few days ago we noticed a small blood red lump just above the males paw.It looks as though he has a blood blister. There are no cutes or holes around it nor is there puss inside the lump and it doesn't seem to be growing at all. The size of the lump is a little bigger then a match tip.I read that they may go away but it seems that the hamster has lots a little weight. We found this on Friday night and it is now Sunday.I'm so afraid that the little guy may have a terminal illness. We love our animals, they are family. Please if you have any information on what you think this could be let us know.Is this common in teddy bear hamsters? Is there anything I can do for him?
