we have a 2 week post partum guinea pig who seems to be getting very thin-her ribs feel increasingly pronounced -and she is losing hair. is this normal? is there something we should be feeding her or doing for her? is there something we should be doing for the babies? (we do play with them gently) how long do we keep the babies before finding homes for them? how long do we keep the father separated from them? we plan to keep one of the babies and have one of the parents neutered-which gender should we double up on? (are there problems with 2 males and a spayed female? are we better off with 2 females and a neutered male?)
even though we bought 2 males (we THOUGHT) we love them. they are so cute.
