It is safe to bathe a guinea pig in Johnson's Tearless Baby Shampoo. If you've never given a guinea pig a bath before, make sure to get someone to help you. Most guinea pigs hate water, and scare easily when put near a running faucet.
To bathe him/her, fill a sink with a few inches of warm (not hot!) water. Add a few drops of the soap to his/her hair, and lather. Be very careful to avoid the eyes. Afterwards, rinse it well, and dry it thoroughly. Make sure there are no air conditioner vents near its cage, or ceiling fans going, as this will cause a draft and make him/her sick.
Hope this helps!
