We have a guinea pig about 2+ years old that we rescued last year from the MSPCA. For the past two months he has a tumor growing on his hind quarter. It is now the size of a large gumball. The hair has rubbed off and it is crusty white. We have called different vets but they say it is $40 for the visit then $100+ to send the pig out for testing. The MSPCA won't take it back either to do a check-up. I heard cancer tumors are commen in Guinea pigs. It isn't anything that would spread to my family is it? HELP! Tammy/New Hampshire
