My guinea pig is breathing very shallowly and cannot move his back legs -- is there anyhting we can do -- what is wrong with him?

Male; Breed: guinea pig

Already Tried:
hand feeding -- moved him out of the cage away from the other pig. Age is unknown - a breeder gave them to us at Christmas
