I have a small aquarium with 2 goldfish in it. Yesteday, I noticed that one of the goldfish was lying on the gravel and would not move at all even when i knocked on the side. There was white almost algea looking stuff coming out of the gills on the side of its face and there was white spots and the fins were frayed. I thought it may have been fin rot or ick, but i wasn't sure. So I took both goldfish out and put them in seperate containers and totally cleaned the tank- gravel and all. I did not however perform a 100% water change. I put the goldfish back in there and they seemed to be doing better. Then this afternoon, I noticed that the fish that seemed healthy was not moving and seemed sick and the one that was lying on the bottom yesterday now looks like there is blood at the surface around the mouth and around the gills. What can I do?
