I bought a chocolate oranda goldfish from a tank that was supposedly infected with ich. I quarantined my fish and gave him ich medication for 7 days changing the water frequently. He has had a grayish fuzy spotty growth (not too bad) on his hood the whole time and so I figured he does not have ich, but rather a fungal infection. He seems to be alert, but he comes to the surface alot making a lapping sound (this is what fish do when they don't get enough O2). He seems alert and eats, but is a bit fickel. He sucks in food then spits it out. I am afraid to put him in a new tank I started which is just beginning to cycle. I am afraid by now (2 weeks later) the ammonia levels are getting too high, plus, I don't want to infect the other fish. I have been giving the oranda PimaFix (an herbal extract from West India Bay Tree) for 2 days. What should I do?? Plus, my brother's betta which is about 2 years old started having his fins and tail turn a whitish. He has also changed color from dark all black to a metallic blue. He is hanging out at the bottom of the bowl. I have given him Betta Fix. What should I do?
Optional Information: Age: <1; Male; Breed: chocolate oranda goldfish
