I want to put gerbil together but Iam scare that the male will hurt the female or vise versa any sugestion, male still in heat and female do not want to get near him

Well if you are afraid that they will fight i would keep them seperated. Because if the male is still in heat it will try to get her and then she will get pregnat. But you can always try it and see what happens. If they do fight just seperate them again.
