I have a Jack Russell Terrior who sheds excessively year ...

I have a Jack Russell Terrior who sheds excessively year round. I have tried putting corn oil on her food, but NOTHING improves it at all. Are there any other things I can try? I have heard of a couple of meds that could improve the issue, but can't remember their names. Please help!
