Is it true that a plant in a small fish tank will provide enough oxygen to sustain a fish? My son purchased a "male" guppie, Glubster, who recently had babies! We have seperated the babies and they are doing fine. Glubster has been doing fine in her 1/2 gallon world complete only with pebbles and under water plant for 2 weeks now. I am leery about investing in large tanks and filters as my son/I may not be ready for the responsibility. On a 10 year old boys allowence, is there a way of providing a habitat for guppie without use of large tanks and electrical filters?
