hi i have 3 finches and they had 5 eggs in nest 3 weeks ago ...

hi i have 3 finches and they had 5 eggs in nest 3 weeks ago and now we think 3 hatched and how long does it take for them to beable to fly and how many in a cage? do i need to do anything for the babies or not they about 1 week old and they sit on the babies always they are all breathingis this something i should do or just let life do its course?

Hello. Which type of Finch do you have? Zebra, Society, etc.? Am I understanding the parent birds are less than one year old or is that the babies you are referring to for age? If you will tell me everything that is in their diet, I can help you be sure the parents are getting what they need to be able to feed the babies properly. If you will also tell me the dimensions of the cage they are in right now, I can help with the cage question as well. I need this information to be able to give you my best advice and guidance. For the moment, don't try to touch the babies and don't do anything that might upset the parents. As soon as I get this extra information, I'll get back with asap. Thanks, Patricia
