Can a squirrel kill a cockatiel?
Sent to Pet Experts August 15 10:23 PM

I had a cockatiel that I purchased in 1998 from a friend and he had been hand fed because his mom didn't want to feed him and discarded him. I had a companion for him but they never breed. Don't know why, but he was a good pet. I loved him very much.
I was given a pair of cochatiels that breed little ones and I had them in the back yard and one day last week one was killed. I thought they were fighting but today, I came home and found my little friend killed and the other one cockatiels head was chewed up.
I was devastated because of my little friend that I checked this morning and gave him his favorite greens. He like the sprouts from the seeds I grew for him. He is dead now and I've cried for my little buddy. I've had him for over 9 yrs. He talked and use to say " What are you doing? Binky bird, and he used to whistle to me. I feel awful and want to know, what could have killed him. It was something that came into the cage, possibly for the seeds?
