Hello. I'm so glad for her that she ended up with such a conscientious owner. Good for you. No, there is never any such thing as being over cautious or paranoid when it comet to our birds. They are too delicate and will hide their symptoms from us so well, they can be quite ill before we see a first symptom. We have to ever ever vigiliant. I'm glad to see that you know what a "proper poop" should look like. I'm very pleased you are going to get her that check up right away as well. I just hope you will be working with proper Avian vet and not a dog/cat vet unless they also come highly recommended as having a lot of bird experience. If you just got her today, it could take 24 hours, or a little more for her droppings to get back to normal. Anytime a bird is relocated, it's pretty traumatic for them. The sneezing is another issue. It may be the change in enviornment and temperature or it may be some product you are using in your home that you will have to stop right away because of it's toxic effect on a bird, or she could be having a respiratory problem. I don't know where you got her but if she came from a pet store, and especially if it was one of the chain stores like PetCo, PetLand, PetSmart, etc. their birds often come from questionable sources and way too often, are already ill. Hence, this checkup is very important. I'm going to give you a lot of links to information about proper Tiel diet, those all important safety and toxin issues and, for just in case, some to help locate an avian vet. I hope all this helps but if you need anything else, just let me know. Patricia
